The German-Japanese soprano Karen Bandelow was born in Hamburg. She studied classical singing and vocal pedagogy at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart and has sung at various opera houses including, among others, Semperoper Dresden, Stuttgart National Theater, National Theater Pula, Croatia, and Opera Krakow, Poland. On CD (Naxos), Karen Bandelow can be heard in Rossini's "Mosé in Egitto". In addition to her work as a singing teacher in Dusseldorf, she is dedicated to concert and Lieder performance.
